2. Detect abnormal cases in childbirth, management of maternal, fetal, and neonatal complications in abnormal labors

3. Explain the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and cares relevant to miscarriage.
4. Define cervical dysfunction.
5. Express causes and symptoms of cervical dysfunction.
6. Elaborate on the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and cares relevant to cervical dysfunction.
7. Express causes and symptoms of trophoblastic diseases.
8. Elaborate on the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and cares relevant to trophoblastic diseases.
9. Define polyhydramnios.
10. Elaborate on diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and cares relevant to polyhydramnios.

34. Explain management of breech presentation and shoulder dystocia.
35. Explain dystocia management due to soft tissues.
36. Explain dystocia due to aperture of the pelvis (inlet, mid and outlet).
37. Explain modern and new methods of evaluating fetal health during pregnancy.
38. Define applications of forceps and vacuum (indications, contraindication, required conditions before use, maternal and fetal complications).
39. Explain different types of C-sections and relevant cares.

Teaching Methods:
Considering the mentioned behavioral goals, teaching methods of this course include programed lectures, question and answer, group discussion, team member teaching design (TMTD), and restatement of issues.
Responsibilities of Students:
· Active and regular presence in class and avoidance of unjustified absence
· Pre-studying based on predetermined subjects and references
· Preparation for answering questions asked by professor at the beginning of each session
· Active participation in class discussions
· Perform tasks assigned by professor in each session and present them in a written form
Assessment of Students:
Evaluation of students will be in the form of developmental assessment during the course.
10% On-time presence and active participation in class
10% Class assignments and oral exam
30% Mid-term exam
50% Final exam in form of multiple choice and modifies essay questions
